How to add your own logo in place of the Clipshare logo
This is a basic guide on how to change the default logo shown on the lightside and darkside templates once you’ve installed it to your own website logo. It’s simple to do and is presented as a beginners guide - In this short guide we will presume that you already have your logo saved into jpg format.
What is jpg format?
jpeg is a common form of a compressed image file, often used in email and on the internet because it can be compressed to a smaller size. The jpeg format uses lossy compression, this means that when compressed quality is reduced and can never be recovered. jpeg, extension .jpg is used by millions of websites and is proven to be a suitable choice.
Guide
- Ensure that your logo is 500×156 pixels. This means that your logo needs to be 500 px wide and 156 px in height.
- If your logo is not named logo.jpg then rename it to logo.
- Connect to the webhosting account where you have uploaded your clipshare website.
- Navigate to the images folder.
- Upload your new logo.jpg file to your images folder - When prompted to overwrite click yes.
- Done! Now view your website and your new logo should appear.
TroubleShooting
My Logo did not appear?
There is a number of reasons why this may happen. Please double check your logo.jpg file you have uploaded to ensure that it is different from the one on the website - sometimes people can get mixed up.
Alternatively you can try the following solutions;
- Navigate to the templates_c folder and delete the contents. This is whats known as the cache it is safe to delete just make sure it is not the templates folder but the templates_c folder contents.
- Else, Clear your browsers cache using Internet Explorer, Firefox or any browsers options.
